In short: Bindly uses personal information only for legitimate service, security, support, operational, and legal purposes. We do not sell personal information. Where you connect a third-party service such as Google, we access only the data you authorize and use it to provide or improve the features you requested.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Bindly's website at bindly.space, our applications and client portal, and the automation, messaging, scheduling, reporting, integration, and related services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).
For certain customer deployments, Bindly may process information on behalf of a business customer. In those cases, the customer may be the organization primarily responsible for deciding why and how that information is used, and its own privacy policy may also apply.
2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with Bindly and which features or integrations you choose to use.
We aim to limit collection to information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and the features you choose to use.
3. How we use information
Bindly may use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- authenticate users and manage accounts;
- run customer-configured automations, integrations, reminders, messaging, scheduling, lead handling, and reporting;
- respond to support requests and communicate about the Services;
- monitor reliability, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and protect security;
- understand product usage and improve user-facing functionality;
- administer subscriptions, billing, and business operations; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements.
Where consent is required by applicable law, we seek consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information for the relevant purpose.
4. Google user data
If you sign in with Google or connect a Google service, Bindly may receive Google user data that you specifically authorize through Google's OAuth consent screen. The exact categories depend on the permissions you grant and the Bindly features you enable.
Data we may access
Depending on the integration, this may include basic account information such as your name, email address, and profile identifier, as well as data from a connected Google service that is necessary to perform the requested feature. Bindly does not access Google user data beyond the scopes you authorize.
How we use Google user data
We use Google user data only to provide, maintain, secure, or improve the user-facing features you request, such as authentication or an enabled integration. We do not use Google user data for targeted advertising, credit decisions, data brokerage, or unrelated profiling.
How we share Google user data
We do not sell Google user data. We may disclose it only to service providers acting on our behalf when necessary to operate the requested feature, when you direct or authorize the disclosure, or when required by law. Service providers are expected to use the information only for the contracted purpose and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
AI and machine learning
Google Workspace API data is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
You can revoke Bindly's Google access through your Google account permissions. Revoking access stops future API access, but it does not automatically delete information already retained where continued retention is legally required or otherwise permitted under this Policy.
5. Data we process for customers
Businesses may configure Bindly to process information about their own customers, leads, clients, staff, or other contacts. In these situations, Bindly generally processes that information to provide the Services as instructed by the business customer.
Depending on a customer's configuration, processed information may include contact details, appointment or booking information, service preferences, communications, workflow activity, and other information supplied to the customer or through connected systems.
If you are an individual whose information is processed through a Bindly customer, you may wish to contact that customer directly regarding its privacy practices or a request concerning your information. Bindly will assist customers with appropriate privacy requests where required.
7. Data retention and deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information, customer configuration, contractual requirements, the sensitivity of the data, and applicable law. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it.
You may request deletion of personal information associated with your Bindly account by contacting us using the method in the Contact us section. If the information is controlled by a Bindly customer, we may direct your request to that customer or assist the customer in responding.
8. Security
Bindly uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Safeguards may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit where supported, logging, least-privilege practices, secure infrastructure, and vendor controls.
No system can guarantee absolute security. We continually evaluate safeguards in light of the sensitivity of the information, our Services, and evolving risks.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Subject to applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or request deletion of certain information.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If Bindly is processing the information solely on behalf of a business customer, we may refer the request to that customer.
You may also disconnect third-party integrations at any time through the relevant provider or, where available, through Bindly.
11. International processing
Bindly and its service providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. As a result, information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions and may be accessible to lawful authorities where required by applicable law.
Where required, we use contractual or other measures intended to provide an appropriate level of protection when information is processed by service providers.
12. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. Bindly does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through consumer-facing account registration. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to Bindly without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the matter.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, integrations, or legal obligations change. When we make changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law or appropriate in the circumstances.
14. Contact us
Questions, privacy requests, or complaints can be directed to the Privacy Lead, Bindly. Please include enough information for us to understand and respond to your request, but do not send sensitive information unless requested through a secure channel.
Contact Bindly through our website for privacy inquiries, access requests, correction requests, or deletion requests.
